Abstract Submission Guidelines

KSID invites the submission of abstracts that report new scientific research developments in all areas of Dermatology. Abstracts are welcome from scientists and students in all sectors, including academia, government, industry, and education.

Requirements for Abstract Submission

Only the KSID members will be able to present their abstracts. If you wish to join the KSID,
please applying for Membership of KSID in KSID homepage ( -> membership).

KSID Membership is open to Korean or overseas:
- Dermatologists in academia and clinical practice
- Researchers in dermatology or cutaneous biology (in academia or industry)
- Dermatology residents
- Graduate students
KSID membership apply site ( -> log in apply for membership)

However, foreign researchers who belong to overseas educational and/or research institution other than Korea is able to submit abstracts even if he/she is not a member of the KSID.

Review and Notification of Acceptance

By principle, KSID only accepts abstracts of unpublished work.

Abstracts must be submitted online by December 20, 2019 to be eligible for review by the Scientific Committee.

The KSID Scientific Committee members will select the abstracts as oral and poster sessions. Criteria for judging abstracts and the method of selection includes: 1. clarity of study objective, 2. originality of study material and methods, 3.validity of study methods, 4. scientific impact and contribution of study outcome.

Acceptance or rejection letters and all future correspondence will be emailed to the Presenter who submitted the abstract. Notification of acceptance will be sent by the end of January 2020 to the email address provided on the submission form.

Poster Presentation

All poster must be prepared in English.
Posters will be displayed Friday through Saturday from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Posters should be posted on the designated board space of 100 cm height and 90 cm width with the abstract number of your paper. Pins and equipment necessary for posting posters will be prepared by the KSID at the venue.

Poster Walks take place during the meeting. Please be at your poster location in the designated session, prepared to discuss your poster with attendees.

Poster prize for the best poster presentations will be awarded at the KSID Annual Meeting.

  • • Do not include nonstandard abbreviations, acknowledgments of support, or refer to footnotes or references
